This edifice is older than 50 years Founded in 1973 by a resolution of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Libya, were the Institute of Banking and Financial Training and Studies (IBFTS) began its journey with a clear mission: to shape the future of Libya\u2019s banking and financial sector. Established as an independent, non-profit public institution with its own legal identity, the Institute operates under the administrative affiliation of the Central Bank of Libya, serving as a trusted pillar of capacity building and professional development.<\/p>\n

From its earliest days, IBFTS has focused on preparing, qualifying, and training professionals, believing that strong institutions are built on capable and well-trained human resources. Over the years, it has played a vital role in developing skilled personnel for the Libyan banking and financial system, responding to the sector\u2019s evolving needs with specialized programs and practical training.<\/p>\n

Beyond education, the Institute has expanded its role as a center of expertise by offering consultations in banking, finance, and administration. Through the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops\u2014often in cooperation with local and international universities and institutes\u2014IBFTS has created a platform for knowledge exchange and professional dialogue.<\/p>\n

The Institute also awards professional diplomas in a wide range of banking specializations, in collaboration with regional and international training institutions, ensuring that its graduates meet recognized professional standards. To further support the sector, IBFTS provides specialized English language courses tailored to business, finance, and banking, alongside computer training programs that focus on operating systems and applications used within Libyan banks, delivered in partnership with international computer institutions.<\/p>\n
