Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Banking and Financial Studies and the Libyan Academy for Telecommunications and Informatics

In line with the Central Bank of Libya’s vision to enhance the efficiency and quality of professional training, the Director-General of the Institute of Banking and Financial Studies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Academy for Telecommunications and Informatics, on Tuesday, 13 September 2022.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of a member of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Holding Company, along with the Institute’s technical team.
This framework MoU represents the culmination of the efforts made by the joint technical teams from both institutions, aimed at establishing a foundation for long-term cooperation and partnership.
During the meeting, it was agreed that the joint technical team would begin preparing the executive annexes and implementation plans for the signed framework within one month from the date of signing.
The first joint initiative under this partnership will be the launch of a Financial Technology (FinTech) Diploma Program, which will be announced at a later stage.
In addition, the MoU includes broader areas of collaboration, such as:
- Joint training and capacity-building programs
- Exchange of scientific and practical expertise
- Cooperation in banking, telecommunications, and ICT-related fields
This partnership reflects the Institute’s commitment to supporting digital transformation in the Libyan banking sector and strengthening national competencies in modern financial and technological disciplines.
