Intersectoral Cooperation to Develop Human Resources in the Judiciary and Banking Sectors

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national partnerships aimed at developing professional competencies and promoting the exchange of expertise, the Higher Institute of the Judiciary Welcomed the General Director of the Institute of Banking and Financial Training and Studies (IBFTS) on Monday, 7th of July 2025, during an official visit held at the Institute’s headquarters in Tripoli.

The meeting explored prospects for cooperation between the two institutions. Under the proposed framework, IBFTS will deliver specialized training programs for members of the Higher Institute of the Judiciary in the areas of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT), risk management, and regulatory compliance. In return, the Higher Institute of the Judiciary will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of legal departments within banks by training and qualifying staff responsible for case management, asset seizure procedures, and other legal matters.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to convene a follow-up meeting within the next two weeks to develop a practical and implementation-oriented framework for the agreed areas of cooperation. This will pave the way for the launch of effective joint programs that serve the interests of both sectors.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to national integration, the enhancement of professional standards, and the sustainable development of human capital.
