Highlights from the Final Session and Workshop of the “National Program for Assessing Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risks”
The Institute of Banking and Financial Training and Studies (IBFTS) hosted the first cohort of the training program entitled “Qualification of Money Laundering Reporting Officers” at its headquarters in Tripoli.
In line with ongoing efforts to develop and enhance the skills of employees in the banking sector and relevant state institutions, and in accordance with the objectives and vision of the Central Bank of Libya, as well as under the directives of the Governor and Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, this program aims to strengthen professional competencies in support of the Committee’s strategic goals.
The qualification program witnessed the participation of a large number of employees from various state sectors. It covered a wide range of topics related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, and featured interactive sessions and practical workshops designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to effectively address related risks.
This program forms part of a broader series of training initiatives organized by the IBFTS across Libya, in cooperation with the Central Bank of Libya and the Libyan Financial Intelligence Unit, with the objective of strengthening technical capacities, enhancing staff competencies, and raising awareness in this critical area.
The Institute extends its sincere appreciation to all participants and contributors for their valuable efforts in ensuring the success of this program.
