Excellence Is Acquired at Home and Grows Within Institutions”: Opening of a Workshop on Training Needs Analysis and Assessment
On Saturday, 14th of December 2024, the Institute of Banking and Financial Training and Studies IBFTS launched a specialized workshop in Benghazi entitled “Raising Awareness of the Importance of Training Needs Analysis and Assessment.”
The workshop opened with an inspiring statement:
“Ancestors once said that excellence is acquired at home, not in ministries; today, we affirm that it also grows and flourishes within institutions,”
highlighting the vital role institutions play in developing capabilities and skills to achieve excellence.
The workshop addressed several key topics, including:
- The concept of training needs analysis and assessment
- The importance of training needs analysis
- Evaluation strategies
- Preparing effective training plans
- Practical applications
The program featured interactive and hands-on sessions designed to equip participants with the tools needed to accurately identify training needs and develop effective training plans that enhance institutional performance.
The event was attended by Mr. Marai Al-Barassi, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, who delivered the opening address, emphasizing the importance of investing in training and professional and administrative certifications as a cornerstone for developing human capital and improving institutional efficiency.
The workshop brought together chairpersons and members of boards of directors, senior managers, employees from banks and various sectors, as well as training experts and consultants, fostering a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange and professional dialogue.
Participants affirmed that institutional success begins with nurturing and developing human skills, stressing that strong institutions are those that invest in their human resources as their most valuable asset to realize their future vision.
The workshop provided a valuable platform to enhance strategic awareness of the importance of training needs analysis and its effective implementation, contributing to the achievement of sustainable and inclusive development.
