A Workshop for Bank Training Directors
As part of its ongoing efforts to support the development of the banking sector and enhance institutional performance, and in alignment with the Central Bank of Libya’s strategy to qualify the banking workforce in accordance with international standards, the Institute of Banking and Financial Training and Studies (IBFTS) organized an extensive workshop on Sunday, 30 October 2022.
The workshop brought together HR managers and training officers from commercial banks and focused on several key themes, including:
Presenting the Institute’s main development projects and training programs.
Reviewing the 2023 training plan based on an evaluation of the current year’s training activities and key performance indicators.
Identifying challenges encountered during the implementation of the 2022 training plan and discussing proposed solutions.
The session also provided an open forum for participants to share their views and recommendations on priority training areas, while highlighting the actual needs of their institutions, particularly in:
- Digital transformation across all bank branches
- Combating money laundering and terrorist financing
- Compliance and risk management
- Banking supervision departments
- Training and qualification programs for newly appointed employees.
