Workshop Discusses FinTech Challenges and Solutions with the Participation of Leading Banks
On Wednesday, 27th of November 2024, a specialized workshop entitled “Financial Technology (FinTech)” was held in the city of Tripoli, bringing together representatives from leading banks and financial institutions.
The workshop focused on examining the key challenges facing banks in adopting modern technological solutions, while presenting innovative proposals and practical solutions to overcome these obstacles.
The workshop addressed several core themes, including:
- Digital transformation in banks
- Data security in financial operations
- The role of FinTech in enhancing operational efficiency and developing banking services
The discussions were enriched by the contributions of a distinguished group of experts and banking professionals, who exchanged insights and experiences on best practices for developing digital infrastructure and fostering innovation within the banking sector.
At the conclusion of the workshop, a set of practical recommendations was agreed upon and will be submitted to relevant higher authorities for review and approval, aiming to achieve a qualitative shift in the financial sector and enhance the readiness of banking institutions to keep pace with digital transformation.
This workshop forms part of the Central Bank of Libya’s strategic framework for financial technology and digital transformation and falls within a broader series of initiatives aimed at supporting digital innovation and modernization across financial institutions.
