Launching the Technical Support Project to Enhance Banking Skills and Promote Financial Inclusion in Benghazi
The Institute of Banking and Financial Training and Studies (IBFTS), in cooperation with Expertise France and under an agreement funded by the European Union, has officially announced the launch of the Technical Support Project aimed at enhancing banking skills and promoting financial inclusion in Benghazi.
The launch event was attended by Mr. Mar’i Al-Barassi, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya and Chairman of the Institute’s Board of Directors, along with the General Director of the Institute, his Deputy, and the Director of the Benghazi Branch. The event also welcomed representatives of Expertise France, including the Program Director, his Deputy, and the Project Manager.
The project seeks to strengthen the technical and professional capacities of employees in the Libyan banking sector, contributing to improve operational efficiency and supporting national efforts toward financial inclusion. During the meeting, the project’s key components, implementation framework, and approved timeline were presented and discussed, outlining the roadmap for successful execution.
